Marion Harris, Director of the Feldenkrais Centre
Marion Harris, founder of the Feldenkrais Centre, is one of Canada’s foremost Feldenkrais Practitioners. Certified in 1983, she is one of the privileged few to have studied directly under Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. Since completing the four-year professional course, Marion continually refines her skills with the best trainers throughout the western world. Marion has over 30 years experience in the broader fields of stress management, yoga and health training and is an authorized teacher of the Sounder Sleep System and a certified teacher and trainer of Bones for Life®.
In her teaching, Marion emphasizes practical learning, enjoyment and personal responsibility for one’s own well-being. She is passionate about her work: “The longer I teach and practice Feldenkrais, the more I appreciate its genius.”
Marion worked professionally as a singer musician. She taught yoga for twelve years, was co-director of Yoga Centre Toronto, and enjoys teaching special workshops which apply Feldenkrais Methods to Yoga. Marion teaches at the Summer Music School conducted by The Queen of Puddings Music Theatre Company which is dedicated to introducing contemporary techniques to classical singers.
