As your dynamic centre, your spine is designed to both support and stabilize you as well as help you move.
Flexion and extension are the two primary movements organized by the spine which we all mastered as infants learning to sit, crawl, stand and walk. Sitting for many hours (often on a poorly designed chair) reduces the need to flex and extend and as a result, your spine might feel a little less moveable.
Join our online classes this week to reconnect to your spine’s inherent movement and relearn how a healthy spine organizes healthy movement throughout the body.
Explore the ways the Feldenkrais method helps you stay healthy, comfortable and resilient to the stresses of daily life. Learn some functional ways to keep moving even when you’re stuck in the house.
As we adapt to the new reality of staying home, the Feldenkrais Centre is now bringing our Awareness through Movement classes to you.
The classes will be presented online using Zoom, an online service provider that combines video conferencing and online meetings.
